The British Veterinary Receptionist Association (BVRA) has launched an award to celebrate the key contribution receptionists make to the industry.
Nominations for the Veterinary Receptionist of the Year Award are welcomed from colleagues and clients, and should highlight the dedication and effort the individual demonstrates.
Entries must be received by 31 January 2019 and can be made via the BVRA website.
Three finalists will be chosen and invited to attend the BVRA’s second annual congress in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, on 16 March, where the winner will be announced.
Golden tickets
To celebrate the launch, three golden tickets will be sent via wholesaler deliveries to three randomly selected practices in the UK.
Each golden ticket entitles the bearer to a free place for one person at the BVRA’s annual congress.
BVRA founder Brian Faulkner said: “Veterinary receptionists are as crucial to the success of a veterinary practice as any other role.
“They are the first and last impression a client has of a veterinary practice, and the association is keen to recognise and reward their unique contribution to the industry.“
Popular
Mr Faulkner continued: “We’ve been astounded by how popular the BVRA has been since its launch one year ago, with receptionists – at every level of experience – reporting appreciation, as well as the benefits of the Accredited Veterinary Receptionist Award.
“It’s entirely appropriate that the BVRA champions ‘best practice’ – and, therefore, the BVRA’s Veterinary Receptionist of the Year Award will recognise their hard work.”
