Southfields Veterinary Specialists has had its oncology residency programme approved by the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.
The three-year programme will see candidates work alongside four European and RCVS specialists in oncology, including Jérôme Benoît, an American and European-certified veterinary specialist in radiation oncology, and Sarah Mason, an RCVS and European specialist in oncology.
Next generation
Aaron Harper, who is an RCVS and European specialist in veterinary oncology, is the programme director. He said: “Southfields is one of only a handful of centres that offers both medical and radiation oncology, and we are committed to training the next generation of oncology specialists.
“We have a strong multi-disciplinary approach and the resident will be supported by colleagues in emergency and critical care, internal medicine, soft tissue, orthopaedic, cardiorespiratory medicine, neurology, dermatology, and diagnostic imaging.”
